Casa Via Mar Inn, an Ascend Collection Hotel

We have 0 complaints.. it was exactly what was needed when it was needed.. staff was very pleasant and helpful.. my back doesnt like most beds, definitely didnt like this bed.. rooms are clean and freshly renovated beds are super soft.. plenty of room in the rooms..

I recently stayed at Casa Via Mar, and I was quite impressed! The rooms are lovely, spacious, and clean, bathrooms are beautifully done, and the cost was very manageable. Front desk staff were kind and accommodating, and check in was easy. The pillows were a bit stiff for my liking, but that’s just a personal preference and doesn’t reflect on the hotel, in my opinion. If you have very specific bedding requirements, may be worth asking about other options upon check in.

After a few days at Disneyland, we needed a beach break and Oxnard is on the way home. We decided to stay the night and found this place, and it turned out to fit our needs. Being from Sacramento, we love Oxnard and will continue to visit the city and this motel. The people were polite and courteous and that's all you can ask from a motel.

We rolled in late after an Airbnb fell through. The folks here were quick to accommodate us with efficient and friendly service. Nancy stayed a bit past her shift to make sure we were situated - simply excellent service. She even set us up with a late checkout after our late arrival. Of course, the hotel property was good, too. The property is basic, but well maintained. Rooms appeared to be recently renovated. They are also larger than a typical motel room. The nearby train track didn’t bother us at all (either no trains came through, or the hotel is well insulated for sound). We even enjoyed the pool/hot tub before heading out in the morning.

I was pleasantly surprised by this place! It was the cheapest in the area so I was a bit worried but the rooms were great, staff was good, and the location was great to Channel Islands. They also had a pool, very small gym, and super clean rooms. It seems like everything It seems like everything has just been renovated and they are working on getting breakfast too. I would stay there over and over again!

Clean, comfortable, and an excellent value We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Via Mar Inn! The property is clearly older but has been beautifully renovated. The rooms are large, spotless, and nicely furnished. Check-in was quick and easy, and every staff member we met was genuinely friendly. There’s plenty of free parking, which was a nice bonus. The restaurant was still being renovated during our stay, so no breakfast yet, but the in-room Keurig and coffee supplies were much appreciated. Several restaurants are within walking distance, so it was easy to grab a bite nearby. Overall, a great stay and an excellent value. We’d definitely stay here again!

Rooms are spacious and clean. Coffee is to be dismissed entirely (go to Benjamin’s Bagels in the Albertson’s shopping center nearby). But clean rooms and sweet gracious staff. Ask for a room not facing the street.

Nice area, it was quiet and located in a GREAT location to so many stores, grocery stores, pharmacy, restaurants, coffee xyz. The service was good. The rooms were very spacious. Was not a bad stay...we were there for 2 nights the beds were comfy and the pillows our heating/cooling system was kinda wonky in the room we were in...I couldn't set it to a temp like it was broke so we turned heater in for a short time and then turned it off....it didn't cool to much so it stayed pretty comfortable temp wise...but I would have liked to be able to use it properly. Overall I would recommend this inn and would stay here again. There were plenty of charging ports and plug ins and even a magnetic charger in the desk.
